Delete your account and data
Nishka: Budget & Expenses, by Brownshade Studio
You only have an account if you signed in with Google to back up. Without signing in, all your data is on your phone, and uninstalling Nishka removes it.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Nishka and go to Settings.
- Under Backup & sync, tap Delete account and cloud data.
- Confirm, then confirm with your Google account.
Your sign-in and your whole cloud backup are deleted straight away. Entries on that phone stay until you remove them or uninstall the app.
Request deletion without the app
Email brownshadestudio@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my Nishka account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address.
We delete the account and backup within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your Nishka sign-in (name, email address and Google account ID)
- Your cloud backup: entries, amounts and notes, budgets, accounts, categories, recurring bills, favourites and settings
What isn’t kept, and for how long
- Your backup is removed from Nishka’s active database straight away. Copies in Google’s own backup systems are erased on Google’s schedule, typically within 180 days, and aren’t used.
- Crash reports don’t contain your entries and are removed automatically after 90 days.
- Usage analytics, if you turned them on, aren’t linked to your account and expire automatically under Google Analytics data retention.
